Welcome to Johnson

Johnson is Vermont’s invitation to breathe, move, and belong – where rivers and trails meet arts and small business, and where an inclusive, year-round community turns visits into traditions and neighbors into lifelong locals.

Our Mission

We steward and promote Johnson’s natural assets and recreation opportunities – expanding access to rivers and trails, activating year-round outdoor and cultural programming, and supporting local businesses – through cross-sector partnerships that prioritize equity, sustainability, and disaster resilience.
